To position Pulpt as a modern, innovative cider producer while capturing their passion for craft cider. The film needed to stand out in the competitive cider market and highlight Pulpt’s commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation.
Pulpt is all about breaking the mould of traditional cider-making and offering ‘real ciders for the generation of drinkers who give a sh*t.’ The challenge was to bring this refreshing and bold spirit to life in a film that would resonate with their target audience and stand apart from the more conventional cider brands.
Filming took place on location at Pulpt’s Somerset headquarters during the apple harvest season in October, allowing us to capture the essence of the cider-making process at its most authentic. The film contrasts the idyllic countryside setting with a punchy, modern soundtrack to reflect Pulpt’s youthful, rebellious character. The film features Pulpt’s founders, Al and Jim, who tell the brand’s story with pride and passion. To achieve the signature warm, hazy look, we used an Arri Alexa Mini paired with Cooke Panchro classic lenses to soften the digital footage and evoke an organic, vintage feel. With complete creative freedom, our goal was to make something that would set Pulpt apart in the crowded cider market, positioning them as a modern, innovative challenger.
The final brand film exceeded expectations, showcasing Pulpt’s commitment to crafting great cider with a contemporary edge. The film captured the company’s authentic values and has proven to be an invaluable asset in engaging both potential customers and investors. Working on Pulpt was an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of what a cider brand film can be. We wanted to create something that didn’t just focus on the product, but also highlighted the energy, personality, and ethos behind the brand.
