The aim of the campaign is to drive regular giving, boost brand awareness, and reframe public perceptions around global development work.
The multi-channel campaign will include two standout TV adverts, which will be filmed on location in Madagascar, spotlighting the life-changing impact of clean water access and WaterAid’s work in the region.
Happy Hour’s brief goes beyond traditional fundraising appeals. The agency will bring a fresh, creative approach to the charity sector, pushing innovation in DRTV and delivering powerful storytelling that resonates emotionally and inspires long-term support. Alongside driving donations, the campaign will aim to shift public understanding of WaterAid’s work and create meaningful brand standout in a crowded market.
"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome WaterAid as a client,” said Nicola Reeves, Managing Director at Happy Hour Productions. “At Happy Hour, we're passionate about creating meaningful, impactful content, and we are incredibly excited to work alongside WaterAid in supporting their vital mission of providing clean water, decent toilets, and hygiene to communities around the world. Together, we aim to amplify their message through creative and compelling DRTV work that drives awareness and action. This partnership is an incredibly proud moment for us, and we look forward to making a real difference.”
WaterAid’s decision to appoint Happy Hour reflects the agency’s track record of combining strategic thinking with creative excellence. Recently named the #1 Creative Agency outside of London by Campaign magazine, Happy Hour continues to expand its portfolio of purpose-driven and high-impact work.
The campaign is due to launch later this year across TV and digital platforms.
